DISCOVERY JUSTIFICATION

Every project must have a business case.  This makes gathering usage and support requirements critical to project success.

  ● Meet with leadership, end users and support teams well in advance of system engineering and design

  ● Visit existing location(s), ask users and support staff what is working and what doesn't work.

  ● Gather high priority feature requirements including WIBNI (Wouldn't It Be Nice If) feature requests.

  ● Find champions who are leading the organization and find out what technology and user interfaces they wish were available and how they would use them.

  ● Scour trade journals for similar installations, attend trade shows, present at user group meetings and stay open minded.

  ● Touch base with users and support staff during the engineering and design phase: present developing plans as required and solicit feedback
